Activation guide
This guide takes you from unboxing your ALL360 01 to its first Active status in the ALL portal. It takes 5 to 10 minutes per device.
If you have several devices, the steps are the same: repeat the activation for each one.
Before you start
You will need:
- your ALL360 01, as delivered
- the ethernet cable included in the box
- the power adapter included in the box
- a free ethernet port on your router
- a stable power outlet within reach of the router
- your activation email, with a key for each unit
- 5 to 10 minutes of uninterrupted time
Tip
Open your activation email on the same device you will use to sign in to the portal, so you can copy the activation key instead of typing it.
Step 1 — Unbox and inspect
- Open the shipping carton and lift the unit out by its sides, never by a cable or port.
- Check that the box contains:
- 1 × ALL360 01 unit
- 1 × ethernet cable
- 1 × power adapter
- 1 × quick-start card
- Inspect the housing for cracks, dents or other shipping damage.
If anything is missing or damaged
Stop here and do not power the unit on. Email [email protected] first and we will advise on the next steps. See Support.
Step 2 — Find your serial number
The serial number is printed on a label on the base of the unit. It is not on the shipping label or the outer packaging.
- Flip the unit over so the base faces up.
- Find the line labelled
SN :followed by an 8-character code, for exampleCH6D0275. - Write the serial number down or take a photo of the label. You will need to type it exactly in the portal.
- Set the unit back upright.
Type it exactly
The serial number is case-sensitive. Don't confuse the letter O with the number 0, or the letter I with the number 1. It contains no hyphens or spaces.
Step 3 — Connect and power on
- Place the unit near your router in a well-ventilated spot. Avoid enclosed cabinets, direct sunlight, and stacking other electronics on top.
- Plug the ethernet cable into a free port on your router, and the other end into the port on the back of the unit.
- Plug the power adapter into the unit, then into a wall outlet.
- Press the power button on the front of the unit briefly. Don't hold it.
- Watch the status lights:
- solid: the unit is powered and connected
- red: there is a fault, see Troubleshooting
The first boot takes 2 to 3 minutes.
About the status lights
Units are produced in large batches, so the components that report CPU status can differ slightly and the exact light behaviour isn't fixed. As a rule, one light stays on and the other flashes: steady means the signal is normal, flashing means data is being transmitted.
Step 4 — Activate in the ALL portal
Open the portal with the link in your activation email and sign in with the same email address you used to place your order.
Every unit you purchased is already on your dashboard, with a status showing where it is:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending allocation | Your order has been placed and the unit is being prepared for shipping. |
| In transit | The unit has been dispatched and is on its way to you. |
| Delivered | The unit has arrived and is ready to activate. |
| Active | The unit is live and contributing to the network. |
To activate a delivered unit:
- Click the device card with the Delivered status. The name on the card should match one of the names in your activation email.
- In the activation panel, enter:
- the serial number, exactly as printed on the base (step 2)
- the activation key, copied from your activation email
- Click Activate.
The status changes to Active within a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on network demand.
Step 5 — Repeat for additional units
If your activation email lists more than one unit:
- Repeat step 2 (find the serial number) and step 4 (activate) for each unit.
- Each unit has its own serial number and activation key. Don't reuse them.
- The order doesn't matter, but each key must be paired with the right unit.
